SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR 2026 OPENS IN JANUARY!
SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW:
Scholarships will be available for US-based graduate students, thanks to ongoing support from the Regeneron Genetics Center, as well as a federal research grant from the National Science Foundation. We expect to provide 100 scholarships supporting lodging at the Institute and providing tuition remission with a total cost saving around 75%. Students will however also need to cover their own transport to and from Atlanta, as well as food – but we provide relatively inexpensive options for campus dining as well. Applications will be evaluated as they are received, with preference given on the basis of timing (apply early!), financial need, and potential benefit of attending the Institutes.
Scholarship Application process:
Please check back in January 2026.
WHAT DOES YOUR SCHOLARSHIP INCLUDE
Tuition & Housing
You have two options: (i) select 2 modules in either Week 1 or Week 2, in which case we will cover either 5 or 6 nights of accommodation (Sunday through Thursday or Friday) and you will need to pay $300 to offset costs not allowed by the NSF grant; or (ii) select 3 modules, in which case we will cover 10 nights of accommodation (Sunday through Tuesday, or Wednesday through Friday) staying through the middle weekend of the Institute, and you will need to pay $500.
If you wish to add a fourth module, we are happy to make arrangements, but the fee for that module will be $300 and you will also need to pay for accommodation on or off campus. In order to support as many students as possible we are capping scholarship support at 3 modules.
Unfortunately, we are not providing scholarship support for a single module, but you may elect to attend just one module according to the regular fee structure ($400 plus travel and accommodation).
WHAT DOES YOUR SCHOLARSHIP NOT INCLUDE
- Your scholarship does not pay for housing outside of Georgia Tech dormitory accommodation. If you prefer not to use the Georgia Tech dormitory accommodation, please let us know so that we can help you identify another option off campus (hotels or AirBNB) that you would need to pay for from your own sources, so that we can potentially fund additional students.
- Your scholarship does not cover any meals, but you may pay for campus dining as outlined on the Lodging page.
OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS
- Please note that you CANNOT apply for modules that run at the same time! Be aware of module dates!
- Please find information regarding dormitories and meal plans here. [hyperlink to lodging]
- Applications received later than March 6, 2026, will not be eligible for Scholarship support.
